Monument symbolizing faith, and courage

When we first walked into Temple Square we saw this statue. It really hit me hard because I had never seen it before with snow covering the wagon. It brought their struggles and faith to a new level. To realize that they traveled by handcart with snow covering their wagons it was amazing. It was snowing while we were walking in and it was cold and our girls were complaining and they were bundled up very good. I have such reverence for their sacrifice and pray that I too can sacrifice in a manner that can leave a legacy for my children and their children and so forth.
